Participated in attracting new applicants from Kazakhstan to CERGE-EI: local educational fairs, giving a video interview (in Russian with English subtitles below), and promotional presentations in Kazakh universities.
An interesting subject for me was Optimum Currency Area (OCA) as I discussed the integration documents drafts of selected CIS countries at a meeting of central bankers in Moscow, 2005. This was partly the reason why I chose a paper on East Asia as the possible OCA to present at the Professor Kenichi Ohno's excellent Workshop in International Economics (GRIPS, Tokyo, 2006). Unfortunately, the link to this Workshop is not active anymore.
